About Ashley Betz, MA, LPC
Boise Therapist
I’m Ashley Betz, a Boise-based therapist offering nervous system-focused care for anxiety, trauma, and chronic overwhelm. I work with adults who feel stuck in patterns of activation, shutdown, or disconnection and want steadier ways to move through daily life.
My approach integrates talk therapy, somatic awareness, and brainspotting to support regulation, safety, and clarity over time. Sessions are collaborative, paced, and grounded in helping you feel more connected to yourself in everyday moments.
A little more about my approach
My work is shaped by the belief that healing happens through safety, awareness, and steady connection to your body. Therapy is not about pushing for insight or change before your system is ready. It is about creating enough steadiness that change can happen without overwhelm.
Alongside my clinical training, I have spent years studying breath, movement, and nervous system regulation through yoga and somatic practices. These influences inform how I pace sessions, how I listen, and how I support clients in building trust with their internal experience.
I tend to work with people who are thoughtful, self-aware, and carrying more than they show on the surface. Many have tried to push through for a long time and are ready for a different way of working that values rest, regulation, and sustainable growth.
Therapy with me is collaborative and grounded. We focus on what is happening now, what your system needs, and how to build capacity over time so life feels more manageable and connected.
Mind Space Mental Wellness Counseling is a welcoming space where your unique life experiences are honored. In my office, everyone is treated with unconditional positive regard and respect, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, mental health history, spiritual beliefs, legal hisotry, financial situation, or political views.
Who I work with
I work with teens and adults navigating anxiety, panic, mood changes, intrusive thoughts, grief, and the lasting impact of past experiences. Many people arrive feeling overwhelmed, stuck in recurring patterns, or disconnected from their bodies and want steadier ways to move through daily life.
The people I work with are often thoughtful, self-aware, and ready to engage in the process of understanding themselves more deeply. Together, we focus on building regulation, clarity, and practical support for everyday functioning using an integrative approach that may include talk therapy, somatic awareness, brainspotting, breathwork, and other nervous system–informed tools.
Clients typically come looking for a collaborative, grounded space where they can slow down, make sense of what they’re experiencing, and develop sustainable ways to feel more balanced and connected over time.
How I work
My approach is collaborative, paced, and grounded in helping you understand what is happening in your nervous system and daily life. Whether you’re navigating the effects of past experiences or noticing patterns in relationships, we focus on building awareness, stability, and practical ways to respond rather than react.
I integrate talk therapy with somatic awareness, brainspotting, breathwork, and yoga-informed practices when appropriate. Sessions are guided by what feels supportive and manageable for your system, with attention to safety, regulation, and building capacity over time.
The work centers on helping you feel more connected to yourself, more flexible in how you respond to stress, and better able to move through life with steadiness and clarity.
Integrative Mental Health
Integrative therapy brings together evidence-based counseling with body-aware practices to support meaningful, sustainable change. My work blends talk therapy with somatic approaches, therapeutic breathwork, meditation, and aromatherapy when appropriate, always grounded in ethical care and current research.
This approach recognizes that anxiety, stress, and nervous system dysregulation are not just cognitive experiences but whole-body ones. Treatment focuses on helping you understand your patterns, strengthen regulation, and build steadiness over time.
